...looking down from the plane and saw a huge piece of land and we know that we were flying above the city area and close to the airport... From there, we barely manage to get a good glimpse of the Mount KK... At the airport, we were greeted by Mr. Bobby Weslee, our tour guide for the trip... He was a nice guy but i was really upset that he did not or forget to pass the meal coupons to us... causing some misunderstanding when we were trying to have our dinner and breakfast... =S

...after breakfast, we started our long journey to the Low's Peak from the Timpohon Gate... Kind of glad that for the second time, i choose to go through the hike from Timpohon Gate... Although this trail was a bit shorter than Mesilau Trail, the painful experience of going through the hiking from Timpohon trail already unbearable, hard to imagine how it would be like if we go through Mesilau...

...hiking through the forest was challenging and one tends to focus only on the steps that they took to reach Laban Rata... I did the same thing last time and did not notice the spectacular flora and fauna around me... So this time around, i make a promise to myself that i'll take my own time to enjoy the scenery while i make my steps to the summit... Seeing the changes of flora along the trails was one of the thing that keeps me fascinated... =D

...wild pitcher plants!!... really happy and excited to spot this plant along the way... We spotted not only the pitcher plants, we managed to spot some tiny brown frogs, large earthworm, and some rat-like squirrels... =)

...the trail that we took to get our way up to the summit, or at least up to Laban Rata was all rocky and muddy surfaces... One small mistake in stepping on wrong side of the rocks may cause serious injuries... It is really important to watch the steps and try not to rush oneself to reach the destination...

...the steps were endless...

...present of clouds covering part of the forest has always amazed me and gave me a mystical feeling for those forest...

...Finally we managed to reach Laban Rata before running out of sun light... We reached there around 3pm plus and dinner was not served before 5pm... So we just hang on at the restaurant and try to rest and cool down after 6-7 hours of hiking...

...initially i was thinking of settling down my stuff at my own place but after been told that we'll need to hike for about 200m before reaching our hut, we decided to take our bath at Laban Rata while waiting for our dinner to be served... After we had our dinner, we were already very tired and slowly walk to our hut at Gunting Lagadan... Once we had settle down ourselves at the hut, we slowly pack our stuff for the next half of the journey... We were excited yet tired after all the painstaking journey from Timpohon Gate...

...the second half of the journey to the summit was indeed quite challenging... grabbing on ropes was the only thing we can and must do to get ourselves to the higher ground... It was so dangerous that once u slip or did not have a good grip on the rope, u may fall down and really may cost ur life... =S

...Low's Peak...

...some gorilla-faced peak...

...South Peak...

...vegetation was scarce and somehow they feels like belong to vegetation from arid land... Maybe rain fall seldom occur up there...

...some brush-like vegetation...

...after less than 5 minutes stay on at the summit, we slowly descent and take our time to reached our hut... After packing up our stuff, we headed to the eating place at Laban Rata and had our breakfast... Without delaying our journey back, we started our descent early so that we can take our time to reach the main gate... Hiking down was the hardest part of the whole journey... Each steps felt like putting humongous weight on my knees... Using my tripod as a makeshift walking stick ease the pain a bit... heeheeeeheee... =D ...After about 3 hours plus, i managed to get myself to walk out from the Timpohon Gate... Can't believe i did this for the 2nd time... and i definitely sure that there will be no more 3rd time... =P
